　　这题主要考查平行和语义。这句话前半句说的是温室效应的讨论主要集中在地球变暖的可能性和多大程度上地球会变暖。

　　主语是discussion，所以A和D主谓不一致，排除。

　　E选项中focus on后面跟的是whether引导的从句和名词extent，名词不能和从句平行，而且the extent后面接的that is也是莫名其妙。

　　B和C两个选项，B选项后面what the extent would be，没说清楚。

　　答案选C，extent后面省略了earth would grow warmer。
